 Extraordinary Expectations

Everyone has them-these things called "expectations." Everyone has been disappointed by unfulfilled expectations. Everyone has been pleasantly surprised by extraordinary expectations being fulfilled. How do you ensure that your Extraordinary Expectations are met in this ordinary world that we live?

An expectation is only as sure as the one or the "what" upon which that expectation is placed. If you want to be sure your extraordinary expectations for your child, your family, and your future are met, you must first find a Source able to accomplish those expectations without fail.

For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.
~Psalm 62:5

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:11-13

As a special education teacher and director, I daily encounter students and parents whose every-day life for 18 years of scholastic achievement is a struggle. Expectations during nine months of pregnancy and the first four years of life were dashed in the first two or three years of school. Joy, peace, and contentment were replaced by discouragement, frustration, and fear. In reality the gifts of these learning differences far outweigh the frustrations once proper education and guidance has been given.  The goal of this website is to encourage families who are touched and yes, even blessed, by learning disabilities. I hope through education and personal encouragement to unite and empower Christian parents and students.
